After graduating law school, Tim worked at a law firm in Louisville dealing with many areas of the law, including wills and estates, probate issues, family law, contracts, and appeals, while focusing primarily on personal injury claims. Tim then worked for Rawlings and Associates / The Rawlings Company representing health insurance companies relative to subrogation and reimbursement matters in all types of personal injury claims. Tim joined Mattingly, Simms, Robinson & McCain, PLLC in 2015, where he currently focuses on many different areas of the law, while focusing primarily on family law and personal injury claims. Tim has also been the Springfield City Attorney and Assistant Washington County Attorney since October 2015.  Tim and his wife, Becky, reside in Springfield with their three sons and daughter.

Elizabeth Graves Coulter

After graduating from law school in 2019, Elizabeth returned to her hometown of Springfield, Washington County to begin practicing with Mattingly, Simms, Robinson & McCain. Elizabeth focuses her practice generally in the areas of real estate transactions, personal injury, estate planning and probate, wills and trusts, corporate law, and family law. Elizabeth has also served as an assistant county attorney since November 2019. Elizabeth’s love for her community and her passion for the practice of law is evident through her representation of her clients and her practice. Elizabeth resides in Willisburg, Kentucky with her husband, Tyler Coulter and their son.

After graduating from law school in 2020, Michael began his law practice with Mattingly, Simms, Robinson & McCain.  Michael’s focus is on real estate, estate planning, agricultural law, personal injury, and business and contract law.  Michael’s background in farming and small business compliment his knowledge of the law and his ability to relate to his client’s needs.  Michael resides with his wife, Nora, and their four children on their farm in Washington County.

Hamilton B. Simms

While serving as Washington County Attorney from 1982 to 2014, Hamilton constantly led the state in the area of Child Support Enforcement. Hamilton’s civil practice is now focused on real property transactions and wills, trusts, estate planning and probate. He provides property owners and their lenders with deeds, mortgages, leases, contracts, title searches, title insurance and other documents necessary for effective real estate transactions. Hamilton also provides legal assistance in the areas of estate planning and administration with sensitivity to both the financial and emotional needs of his clients and their families as they plan the distribution of their estates.

William C. Robinson

After Bill’s graduation from law school, he worked at the Louisville law firm of Seiller and Handmaker, primarily in the areas of personal injury and trial litigation. He brought those skills back to his hometown of Springfield to practice with our firm in 1995. Bill continues his emphasis on personal injury as he compassionately and passionately assists injured plaintiffs and their families in maximizing their financial recovery after a traumatic injury, accident or death. In litigating personal injury matters, Bill covers a broad spectrum of personal injury cases, including car accidents, construction accidents/injuries, truck accidents, products liability, insurance denials and many other categories of litigation. In addition to his civil practice, Bill served as an Assistant County Attorney from 1995 to 2014, Springfield City Attorney from 1999 to 2014 and is the attorney for the Springfield Water and Sewer Commission. In November, 2014, Bill was elected Washington County Attorney and assumed office in January, 2015.
